The first 16 pages are printed on stiff card and contain the parts needed to make the mask. The second half of the book is printed on wood free paper and contains photography, instructions and some extra bits and pieces. The mask is reversible and can be built to display one of two designs. This is a "book" that contains a number of perforated "cut-outs". The cutouts can be removed and glued together to create a brilliantly captivating mask. The finished mask looks better than the picture, and it is robust enough to survive several days in the hands of a six-year-old. Once the cutout pages have been removed, you are left with a book that, while beautiful, is not substantial enough to use a coffee-table centrepiece: but you're not buying this book to just display it - you're in it for the mask right? There are niggles, though. For a start, the card could have been stronger, or heavier. This doesn't make less attractive, it just reduces the mask's longevity. Secondly, the head-mount could have been better. But it will do.
